Local Missions

Feed My Sheep: An outreach of the Board of Deacons where meals are provided for those convalescing from recent illness.

FOG (Five Old Guys): An out reach of the men of the church where various construction and maintenance projects are under taken for the needy in our community.

Frances W. Horton Trust Gifts to the Poor: Assistance to the poor of the community. This mission is administered by the Board of Deacons.

Frances W. Horton Trust Gifts to Widows: Gifts to active members of the church who are widows. This mission is administered by the Board of Deacons.

Home Communion Visitation: At least quarterly visitation by the pastor and an elder to members and friends of the church who are in the hospital or residents of nursing facilities or home bound for the purpose of serving Holy Communion.

Thompson Charitable Trust Gifts: Assistance to the poor of the church. This mission is administered by the Board of Deacons.

Women’s Bible Study: Weekly meetings for Bible study and prayer. These meetings start on Tuesday mornings sharply at 9:30 AM and end exactly at 11:00 AM.  All women of our church and community are invited to this study.

Huntingdon Food Pantry: Assistance (providing food) to the poor of the Huntingdon area. This mission is hosted at the First United Methodist Church, 427 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652 – Call 814-643-1830 for hours.

Huntingdon Soup Kitchen: Assistance (preparing meals) for the poor of the Huntingdon area. Meals are served on Thursdays, from 6-7 PM, and are free of charge. This mission is hosted at the Huntingdon Presbyterian Church, 508 Mifflin St, Huntingdon, PA 16652 – Call 814-643-1302 for more information.

Crossroads Pregnancy Center: Assistance to those who might be worried about an unexpected pregnancy. This mission is located at 600 Washington Street (rear) Huntingdon, PA 16625 – 814-643-3570.
